Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Town Hall for Home Health Providers
Date: 09/18/23
Heritage Health (Medicaid):
The 21st Century Cures Act (2016) requires Nebraska to implement a new electronic visit verification (EVV) system for Medicaid personal assistance services and home health providers. EVV electronically records and verifies provider visit information.
EVV allows providers to clock in and out of service appointments electronically. Providers can clock in through an application on their smartphone or another electronic device to record the exact date, time, and location of a visit.

Nebraska Medicaid will begin the phased implementation of the new EVV system for managed care home health provider services on January 1, 2024.
Molina Healthcare, Nebraska Total Care, and UnitedHealthcare Community Plan will be hosting virtual townhalls to provide information to home health providers and introduce the State selected EVV vendor, Netsmart. Please ensure a representative from your agency can attend one of the below listed Townhall webinars to learn important information on how to begin implementing EVV for your agency.
During the Town Hall, Home Health Providers will learn how to register with Netsmart, select an EVV application to record appointments, and learn about upcoming trainings. Please attend one of the Town Hall Meetings below:
